I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (known as PWSSP at the time) in Gdańsk, Poland in 1993, where I was awarded the Graduate Diploma with Distinction in painting (in the Painting Studio of Professor W. Łajming) and in tapestry (in the Studio of Professor N. Świderska). I devoted the next few years of my professional career to fashion. However, during this time I never lost my eagerness to paint and my desire to create. My way of perceiving the world and the ability to see its beauty did not change.
In a way, during my fashion focused years, I was still constantly exposed to a magical world of forms and colours - a world of imagination that I was developing within myself and I cherished it as something really precious. I knew I would return to a world where I could express my creativity in my own way...
Finally, that moment I waited for so long begun three years ago, when my creative presence started to flourish into reality.
I feel like I've returned from a very long journey to a place I genuinely love. My life travels have been fascinating, extremely enriching and definitely significant, but my journey lacked something important to me - the full awareness to express my creative soul. Therefore I am very glad to be back and I am looking forward to expressing an exhilarating amount of positive energy through my paintings, their themes and colours. My artworks are set out in a fairytale context that seems surreal. There should evoke in oneself reflections about life, memories and positive feelings...
My jewellery design forms a significant part of my life as an artist. I would be most happy knowing that women feel more beautiful, more feminine and exceptional, while wearing my jewellery. Moreover, I wish for my pieces to bring a sense of happiness to the women, upon seeing their reflection in the mirror.
